Due out in the U.S. in June 2013. It has already been published in parts of Europe and Australia. It seems there has been a bidding war going on around the world for the rights to publish this true story of a brave mother rescuing her kidnapped daughter from her (the daughter's) own father, in the middle of the chaos in Syria.
Did you know that a fox’s hearing is so sharp they can hear a watch ticking 40 yards away? I think this sleepy eyed sweetheart was more interested in his beauty sleep.... not that he needs any! This beautiful fox would make a lovely addition to any animal lover's home! This print can be found on my Fine Art America site OR on my Zazzle site. Don't wait until the last minute to buy! "upon being rejected"Back in August I submitted this photo to Canon's and Ron Howard's Project Imaginat10n. Their panel of judges narrowed the oh so large number of photos entered down to their finalists. I was told I was a finalist. I was thrilled! Then on to public voting of the finalists. Then after the voting was done, they contacted me to let me know I had won a spot in my theme, which was 'mood'. Thrilled, again! Heck, I would have been happy being able to say I was a finalist, but I'll take a winning spot! Now we are waiting on the celebrity directors (Eva Longoria, who has already chosen and Jamie Foxx, to name a couple) to make their choices of which photos they feel would best inpsire their short films. Fingers crossed! I'll let you know how it turns out!
This is the press release from Canon and Ron Howard about the winners. I give thanks to all HEROES past and present (and the ones still to come) for all that you do for us, and would do again, while asking nothing in return. THANK YOU, VETERANS!
Hi! Welcome to my brand spankin' new website and blog. Ok, make that my very first website and blog. I made the website (took forever) and folks kept saying I should start doing a blog, too. So.... here's my blog. I'm not even sure how to do a blog, but I'll give it my best try.
Since this is my first one, I'll keep it short and sweet. I am a self taught photographer and digital artist. I prefer the nuances of natural light to a studio lighting set up, although I have seen a few studio photographers totally rock their lighting. I prefer the artistic side of photography to just plain ol' photography.... but if you want I can do just plain ol' photography, too...whatever floats your boat :) I suppose that's all for now. Don't want to overstay my welcome the first time out. I truly appreciate all who stop by for a visit. Feel free to leave a comment here or contact me via that nifty 'contact' page. Thanks! Ruby |
